Dear sew mates it’s very important to be competent in your skill of preference and believe in yourself.
Competence comes after you have been grounded in your skills, it requires a lot of hard work, consistency, patience and constant practice.
There are some good designers that lack self confidence, it limits how much they can achieve in their career and creativity.
How to boost your self confidence 👇
* Stop thinking you’re not good enough.
* Do not be too hard on yourself.
* Don’t be afraid to display your works.
* Don’t wait for a perfect picture or a perfect write up.
* Do not compare yourself with others, remember we are all a work in progress and our process is different.
* We all have different audiences and connections with our audience.
* If you have an idea and someone else has done it, don’t let it stop yours, add a twist and put it out.
* Be consistent.
* Show up online and show off.
* Remember you’re your own competition, strive to make yourself better everyday.
If you still feel you lack competence on this skill, don’t be shy to ask for help.
* Don’t be afraid to talk about your struggles.
* This skill requires constant practice and It takes time, so be committed and dedicated.
* Growth is a process —- don’t rush your process, trust it. Slowly but surely you will get there.
* Go for trainings… paid classes, physical and online.
* Have a mentor that can put you through.
I hope this was helpful.

INTIMIDATION IN THE FASHION WORLD.
In this world we are in, everyone wanna be important to the society. But life keeps throwing you off balance with temptation, intimidation and unexpected circumstances. Growing up, you have your life all planned out. You have made plans of going to school early, finishing school on time, making money, getting married and having a family, in general begin happy. But life throws you off balance from all ur goals that you have planned out.
In the fashion business that a lot of person ventures in, there have plans, aspiration and goal of what to do when there enter into world of fashion. Your plans when you go into fashion is to become the best at what you to to get recognition and become great. But in entering the fashion world you get a lot of intimidation to the extent of getting frustrated and wanting to give up. You all ready got goals planned out but sometimes you feel that it is not working out as planned and then you go online and see great styles on line from people who you went to fashion school with, looking great and you are at one corner still trying to move forward from where you are, thinking why life is treating you badly from your peers and then the frustration creep in. You seeing beautiful style online from people u know then doing great and you not going forward makes you think if you are in d right profession or you are just wasting time in the work you are doing.
My advice is not to give up on life so soon keep aiming at your goals that you’ve planned out, stay focused and don’t believe everything thing you see on the internet, be yourself, be who you are and work hard. You would get there I know you would.

What’s on my desk
I spend more and more time at my desk these days, doing everything from preparing the family taxes to working on this blog. Because of this, my workspace is constantly changing. Holding the clutter at bay is challenging, so I prefer to keep nearby only a few quality items that serve multiple purposes over a stockpile of things I might never need.
My daily planner
My planner is one of those simple ring binder journals you can pick up from any stationery supplies store. White paper. No ruled lines to cage my venturesome handwriting and doodling. I’m an obsessive note-taker and fill pages to the margins with to do lists, rough sketches, and ideas for blog posts. I usually go through one planner every month.
Staying Organized
Who me? Organized? My husband might tell you otherwise, but I do find it hard to keep track of our weekly schedule. You know: school, swimming, grocery shopping, tidying up, paying bills, remembering appointments and so on. Fortunately, in our house we all pitch in. No one person does everything. But we do have a little secret that helps our day run more smoothly.
Travel Tips
There are millions of tips out there on how to fly with kids, what to bring on camping vacations, which suitcase to buy, where to go and what to see in just about every corner on Earth. What I want to share today is something a little different – something that we discovered last summer during a family hike in the Appalachians.
